Determine Your Fit

What This Call Covers

This 15-minute conversation is designed to:

  • Clarify what DTL Story Films are (and what they are not)
  • Explain how the backend production process works
  • Review partnership structure options
  • Allow you to select the model that fits your client workflow

Our intention is clarity, simplicity, and long-term structure.

Opening Script (What to Say on the Call)

Opening Positioning

“Thank you for taking the time today. My goal is to walk you through how DTL Story Films work behind the scenes and then determine which partnership structure best aligns with your business.”

“DTL Story Films are post-event cinematic story collections. We do not attend events. We work entirely from client-submitted media and written reflections to create emotionally structured films.”

“This means there is no vendor overlap, no event-day logistics, and no added coordination for you.”

Transition to Partnership Model

“At this point, planners typically choose one of two structures — Referral or Wholesale. Both are simple. The difference is primarily who controls pricing and client billing.”

Option 1 – Referral Partnership

Under this structure:

  • Client contracts directly with DTL
  • Client pays DTL directly
  • You earn a flat 25% commission on the base package price
  • You have no billing or fulfillment responsibility

Current Public Pricing (For Reference)

Essential – $595

Signature – $895

Legacy – $1,295

Commission Examples

Essential → $148.75

Signature → $223.75

Legacy → $323.75

Commission Terms

  • Commission is earned upon full cleared client payment
  • Payment is issued within seven (7) business days of cleared funds
  • No commission is owed on refunded, disputed, or charged-back transactions
  • If a refund occurs after commission payout, DTL may deduct the corresponding amount from future commissions or invoice for reimbursement

What to Say on the Call (Referral Close)

“This option works best for planners who want zero administrative involvement. You simply introduce the offering and we handle everything else.”

“If simplicity and no billing responsibility is your priority, Referral is typically the best fit.”

Option 2 – Wholesale Partnership

Under this structure:

  • You purchase the selected film collection at wholesale rate
  • You set your own final retail pricing
  • You contract directly with and collect payment from your client
  • DTL production begins after wholesale payment is received in full

Wholesale Rates

Essential – $425

Signature – $625

Legacy – $875

DTL is not responsible for Planner Partner pricing decisions, marketing representations, or client payment collection.

What to Say on the Call (Wholesale Close)

“This option works best for planners who want pricing control and higher margin flexibility.”

“You may bundle this into premium packages or position it as a signature offering under your brand.”

“If you prefer margin control and client ownership, Wholesale may be the stronger fit.”

How to Close the Call

Ask directly:

“Based on how you currently structure your client experience, which model feels more aligned with your workflow — Referral simplicity, or Wholesale control?”

Pause. Let them decide.

Once selected:

“Perfect. I’ll structure your agreement under that model and send over your official partner documents.”
